I do love this book. Having seen my share of musicals and having puttered around with a few from time to time, I found this book hard to put down. We all know those anti-musical people who say "Come on, no one bursts into song just walking down the middle of the street." Wrong. we know those people, We are those people and this book is for us.
Here's what the back of the book tells us
There's nothing quite like dinner and a show, and tonight's menu is guaranteed to be a real crow-pleaser. Warm up your appetite with some Egg Rolls for Mr. goldstone (Gypsy) served with a side of Too Darn Hot Sause (Kiss Me Kate).
Looking for some liquid courage? Whip yourself Another Vodka Stinger (Company) or make good with The Wizard and Ice (Wicked). Need something with a bit more substance? Schnitzel with Noodles (The Sound of Music) is one of our favorite things, or you can spite it up with Mama's Well-Peppered Ragu (Chicago).
Then again, if you're craving something really indulgent, try our Angel (of Music) Food Cake (Phantom of the Opera). It's guaranteed to bring down the chandelier.
With bold photography and whimsical illustrations, Break and Egg features fifty-five original recipes, a helpful "pore-show" chapter on common terms and basic cooking techniques, and a bonus chapter on entertaining with full menus and plans for multiple Broadway themed parties. Grab your rolling pin and pull on your fishnets -this is the perfect cookbook for season ticket holders, drama kids, and Broadway fans of all ages.
Sounds like fun, right? It sure is. Whether you give or receive this fun book, you'll be singing and dancing around your kitchen for weeks.
Thanks for stopping by.
